Digital PCR

Digital PCR allows one to find the proverbial "needle in a haystack" by analyzing each nucleic acid template individually in discrete PCR chambers, using either dilution or volume to limit the template per reaction. Our goal is to provide the researcher a digital PCR tool that improves both cost and turnaround time over available technologies.

Our platform consists of a plastic microfluidic disk disposable that passively compartmentalizes a sample into thousands of nanoliter-sized wells, a rapid air thermocycler, and a fluorescent scanner to detect the binary 'on/off' digital PCR signal.
